Toronto Showed Up for the WNBA Finals! 🏀
The WNBA Finals might’ve been played hundreds of miles away, but thanks to Her Game Toronto, the heart of the action was right here in the city.
To celebrate the championship series, Her Game Toronto hosted two high-energy watch parties . Game 1 at Left Field Brewery in Liberty Village and Game 4 at National at The Well and Toronto basketball fans showed up in full force.
From tip-off to the final buzzer, both venues were packed with cheers, laughter, and plenty of team spirit. The energy was contagious. With a mix of long-time WNBA fans, first-time watchers, and everyone in between, all united by a shared love for women’s basketball.
Adding even more buzz to the night was the presence of Toronto Tempo, the city’s brand-new professional women’s basketball team. Tempo reps joined the fun, chatting with fans and sparking conversation about what’s next for the franchise.
Fans also got to share their opinions in some fun community polls: Who should the Tempo draft? (Azzi Fudd we’re looking at you!) and What should our mascot be?
The evenings were full of moments to remember: friendly competition in mini games, endless photo ops, and that unbeatable feeling of watching elite basketball surrounded by a crowd that cares. Each cheer, high five, and photo snapped showed just how much Toronto is ready to support women’s sports on every level.
These events captured what Her Game Toronto is all about. We’re here to build a community, celebrating female athletes, and making space for women’s sports fans to connect. The message was clear: when you give women’s basketball a platform, Toronto shows up!
A huge thank-you goes out to everyone who joined for Games 1 and 4, to Left Field Brewery and National for being incredible hosts, and to Toronto Tempo for bringing their energy and excitement to the party.
